Sennheiser MX 260 Earphones

For the last seven months or so, I’ve been using a pair of Sennheiser MX 260 earphones with my iPod. I found the sound quality to be very high, and the earphones themselves to be very tough, surviving a pretty hard life with myself, they’ve gotten rained on, dropped, kicked, the whole lot.

The MX 260′s have some form of dynamic speaker subsystem, as advertised by Sennheiser, and while the details on it are sketchy, the quality of sound produced by the earphones is excellent. It’s had no problems playing music, and I would consider the quality vaguely comparable with a pair of Sennheiser full headphones that we have, which I consider a benchmark. For earphones priced under £10, that’s pretty good.

The only niggle I’ve found with these earphones is that for myself, the cable is a little short, and occasionally tugs when the earphones are in my ear and my iPod in my pocket, which I dislike. However, I am pretty tall and have low pockets, so it’s not entirely a fault with the earphones.

The earphones are supplied with a cover for the earbuds, but actually I find them better without the cover, more comfortable and the sound seems better, although that might just be me.

I have found the Sennheiser MX 260 earphones to be excellent quality, and for a great price. You can find them here, or by clicking on the big picture.

  1. Glad you like your headphones…I’ve been a big fan of Sennheiser for years now, and have yet to be disappointed!

Indeed; although recently I invested in a set of Skull Candy titans, just for a change, and actually I’ve been really happy with them.
Would still recommend the mx 260 to anyone :)

Hey I just wanted to let you know, I really like the piece of writing on your website. But I am utilising Flock on a machine running version 9.10 of Xubuntu and the UI aren’t quite satisfactory. Not a strong deal, I can still fundamentally read the articles and research for information, but just wanted to inform you about that. The navigation bar is kind of hard to apply with the config I’m running. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for publishing about this. There’s a mass of solid tech information on the internet. You’ve got a lot of that info here on your web site. I’m impressed – I try to keep a couple blogs reasonably live, but it’s a struggle sometimes. You’ve done a solid job with this one. How do you do it?
